赛里木湖。赛里木湖古称“西方净海”，蒙古语称“赛里木淖尔”，意为“山脊梁上的湖”。它东西长30公里，南北宽27公里，水域面积458平方公里，最深处91米，蓄水总量210亿立方米，湖面海拔2073米，是新疆维吾尔自治区面积最大的高山湖。(作者：玛丽-路易斯·贝尔纳Marie-Louis Bernard 法国 France)
Sayram Lake was known as “Pure Sea in the West” in ancient times. Its Mongolian name means “a lake on the mountain ridge.” The lake is 30 km long from the east to the west and 27 km wide from the south to the north, covering an area of 458 square km. It reaches a depth of 91 meters at its deepest point. Its water reserve amounts to 21 billion cubic meters. Located at an altitude of 2,073 meters above the sea level, Sayram Lake is the largest lake in Xinjiang.
