Nearly 50 journalists from China and 22 foreign countries including Turkey and Singapore, arrived in Urumqi on May 10, Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, to participate in a media event themed Approaching the Core Zone (Xinjiang) of the "Silk Road Economic Belt".
Through visits to Xinjiang Software Park and some companies, the journalists are getting a closer look at the development of the AI industry and other industries serving the Belt and Road Initiative in Xinjiang.
The event will last until May 19.
