Jiang Jianguo, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and minister of the State Council Information Office of China, met with Marriyum Aurangzeb, minister of Pakistan's Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage, in Beijing on Feb. 4.

Jiang briefed the guests on the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the essence of the 19th CPC National Congress. They also held discussions on media cooperation and win-win development between the two countries under the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as strengthening the China-Pakistan all-weather strategic cooperative partnership.

Zhang Fuhai, president of China International Publishing Group, and Zhang Ye, director general of the International Liaison Bureau of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, also attended the meeting.
