Jiang Jianguo, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and minister of the State Council Information Office on May 4 met with visiting Filipino Communications Secretary Martin Andanar in Beijing.

They discussed issues on strengthening communication and cooperation in media and culture, further enhancing traditional friendship, boosting mutual understanding and trust between the two governments and their people.

They also discussed issues on promoting "Belt and Road" construction projects, creating opportunities of shared development, and bringing benefits to the people of China and the Philippines.

Zhang Fuhai, director of China International Publishing Group, also attended the meeting.
