A documentary series, "The Belt and Road", are launched on Sept. 5 at China Central Television.

The six episodes are a production around the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road that connects China to the world.

The series take a journey of some 200,000km spanning over Asia, Europe, Africa, and America. It takes a closer look at major projects and historic spots along the Belt and Road Initiative.

The production also tells how people have been influenced by the initiative.

Infrastructure, finance, trade and cultural exchange are areas where China is cooperating closely with the countries in the initiative.
