The Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and the Central Civilization Office jointly held a communication meeting with the theme of "building the integrity of society" on May 16 in Yiwu City, Zhejiang Province.

During the meeting, participants vowed to thoroughly study President Xi Jinping's important speeches, practice the core values of Chinese socialism, enhance public awareness of integrity, and solve problems in areas related to integrity, so as to build the integrity of Chinese society.

Wang Shiming, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the meeting and gave a keynote speech.

He said that integrity is an important part of China's core socialist values and that building integrity is a crucial footstone for the modernization of a country's governance system.

It's very important to promote the building of integrity, provide more reliable records of the honest conduct of both the public and organizations, improve praise and punishment procedures and strengthen the legal environment and policy orientation regarding the building of integrity.

Publicity department officials from provinces and cities around the country also attended the meeting and visited Yiwu.
