China is resolute in regulating the cultural market by law, as strenuous efforts are made to eradicate illegal publications and harmful information online, Liu Qibao, Minister of the Publicity Department of China, said last Friday.
A good cultural environment should be maintained with heavy blows targeted at pornography and false publications online, Liu said in a video conference held in Beijing.
According to Liu, the government should intensify its inspection on printing, logistics and the introduction of overseas publications in a bid to block the promulgation of illegal information.
Liu also stressed that the anti-pornography-and-illegal-publication campaign should extend to the grassroots organizations of the Communist Party of China to facilitate the implementation of a clean cultural atmosphere in the country.
