The launch ceremony of the ChinAfrica Magazine's Special Issue for the Johannesburg Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) was held in Johannesburg, South Africa, on the morning of December 3. The launch ceremony was hosted by the State Council Information Office and jointly organized by the Beijing Review magazine of the China International Publishing Group. Chinese President Xi Jinping and South African President Jacob Zuma sent congratulatory messages on the publication of the Special Issue.

The Special Issue is centered on the summit with a theme of "Africa-China Progressing Together: Win-Win Cooperation for Common Development". It gives a vivid explanation of China's policy on Africa in the new situation, namely "sincerity, real benefits, affinity and good faith." It also gives a comprehensive review of the fruitful results which the FOCAC has achieved in promoting cooperation in various fields since it was founded 15 years ago. It also provides prospects for a bright future for China-Africa's win-win cooperation for common development.

Copies of the Special Issue will be available for all participants in the FOCAC Summit. At the same time, Naspers Group, Africa's largest media group, will distribute 211,000 copies across Africa through its channels.

Jiang Jianguo, minister of the State Council Information Office, delivered a speech at the launch ceremony.
